Round up your mates and come and try the world’s most popular contact sport!

Pick your team name, create a logo, have fun and try something new – who knows you could be Victoria’s next Olympic Rugby Player!

Hawthorn Spring 7s is a four week tournament designed to give boys and girls aged 7-11 an opportunity to try Rugby, a game loved by millions of kids (and adults!) around the world.

Each team of 8 needs to have at least half the team new to rugby, so Hawthorn Spring 7s is played in a friendly, not-too-competitive environment recognising everyone is learning and trying new things.

You’ll get your weekly fix of footy, with a twist! Or maybe you’ve tried the rest and now want to try the best! Whatever the reason, Rugby is great fun and super easy to learn, no matter what your experience or skill level. (Why are more Victorian kids playing rugby than ever before?)

With the 2019 Rugby World Cup just around the corner, why not enter or join a team and give it a try!

Player registration
On our first session, Saturday August 24, bring your child and while they’re busy learning the basics and having fun, we’ll sort out registration, t-shirt sizes and payment with parents (Mastercard/Visa only).

For the sake of the registration process, please bring along details of your child’s date of birth, height and weight.

Late registration is fine too, just come along to any of our Sunday morning sessions and we’ll sort it out.

Please note, all children will be subject to our Hawthorn Spring 7s WFA bands. Any child who falls outside of the weight-for-age bands will be assessed at their first session and may be required to play up or down an age grade.

Registration includes limited Rugby Australia insurance.
