We are back people, WE ARE BACK!

Rugby has started again for another year and our brand new U8s team had a great game against Box Hill.

The sun was shining down on us at Box Hill, so after a few quick warm up drills, practicing our ‘stepping’ and tackling, Devonte was chosen as Captain and led out our boys: Devonte, Charlie, Adonai, Lucas, Billy and Darcy.

Big thanks to Mark for organising our new jerseys – they looked a treat!

Right from the kick off there was some good, safe & effective tackling, some fantastic, unstoppable runs and great contests for the ball.  But the thing that made me most proud was the heart of our team, we just did not give up and played and played and played.

After all, what else is rugby about?

After two very close halves with tries running evenly to both sides, Kiwi Hawthorn were lucky enough to get the last try of the day, with a superb run from Adonai who was rightly awarded our ‘Best and Fairest’.
