Do you have a 4, 5 or 6 year old who’d like to give rugby a try?  Rebel Rascals is the perfect way to build their skills, learn about teamwork and rugby values whilst having great fun.

Rebel Rascals runs April 21 – mid August, initially as a carnival with all boys and girls from different clubs coming together at one club in the region each week.

A Rugby Victoria Development Officer runs the kids through skills and drills and a game of touch over the course of an hour. Parental involvement is welcome.

As the season progresses and skills improve, inter-club U6 games commence, played home and away in the region with the focus on having fun and participation – no one keeps score and everyone gets a go.

Our U6s are also welcome to come down to training on Tuesday nights 5:30pm-6:30pm, where they mix initially with older players before breaking off for skills and games with our U6 coach.

All rugby in Victoria is non-contact until U8 when the option to play tackle is introduced, so playing at U6 and U7 is a great opportunity to learn the basics and form friendships for the years to come.

We have open training sessions starting Tuesday 6 March and running throughout the season every Tuesday at 5:30pm. So come down to our home ground at 439 Auburn Road Hawthorn any Tuesday and ask for Justin or Mark, there is no charge for attending training.

Don’t forget our family Touch7s program, Hawthorn Touch7s is also a great way for youngsters 4 and up to try rugby in Term 1.  It’s Mum, Dad and the kids all on the field, running around having a ball.  Sundays in Term 1 at 4:15pm, Anderson Park.

Please feel free to contact us if you’d like to discuss any of the above.
